Who We Serve

Horizons at Carolina Day School serves 120 K-9 students in Asheville and Buncombe County.

Our signature six-week summer program runs through the summer following 8th grade. Horizons at Carolina Day School students come from over 20 local schools in Asheville and Buncombe County. Because we make a nine-year commitment to our families, siblings of enrolled students receive admissions preference when they apply. Students are recommended by their teachers, typically for the summer after kindergarten and are re-enrolled for consecutive summers, continuing through middle school.

To be eligible to attend Horizons at Carolina Day School, students must qualify for the free or reduced school lunch program at the time of admission. Preference is given to students with siblings currently enrolled in the program.
